This fly can be tied on a Mustad 9671 hook in sizes 16-20. It is a creation of Bob Mauro, one of our past members, and it has passed the tests of time. It is very useful during the midday or slow periods on the limestone streams of south-central Pennsylvania. Fish it dead drift or give it a slight twitch as you would for most nymphs. |
Tail: Wood Duck fibers You can tie the same pattern using yellow in place of the orange. Your choice of fly will depend on the color of the naturals you are imitating. |
